Across State Lines: Palmer-Brown Heading to Belgium?

Former Sporting Kansas City homegrown player, Erik Palmer-Brown is still technically without a club at least publicly as his contract with Manchester City has not been officially announced by the club despite numerous reports of him signing a pre-contract with the club, an official announcement has not been made since his contract expired on December 31st. The working assumption is that City is waiting to announce the signing until they have a lone destination figured out for Palmer-Brown. Earlier this month the thought was that he would be going to the Netherlands and PSV Eindhoven, but the latest news is that Palmer-Brown will instead head to Belgium for the rest of the 2017-2018 season and then head to PSV for the 2018-2019 season.

Also this week, American teams are starting to kick off preseason and that includes players showing up on trial, being linked with moves out, and re-signing with clubs. In terms of trials, Jalil Anibaba has joined the New England Revolution for preseason while Christian Volesky is with Minnesota United as they start preseason. On players linked with moves away from their clubs, Yura Movsisyan is not in camp with Real Salt Lake to start preseason as the club looks to move on from their designated player. Finally in re-signing news, Kansas City native, Ray Saari has re-signed with the Seattle Sounders 2 after playing in 27 games for the Sounders in the 2017 season.
