Sporting Kansas City captain, Matt Besler continues his season of rewriting all the longevity records for the club reaching two more milestones in yesterday’s game against FC Dallas. Besler became the first player to play 300 games for the club across all competitions as well as become the first player in club history to start 250 league games for the club. Here are stats and milestones from Sporting’s 3-0 win against Dallas as well as the Swope Park Rangers 2-1 playoff win over Sacramento.

Sporting Kansas City

Matt Besler made his 300th appearance in all competitions for KC, he’s the first player to hit that mark.

Besler made his 250th league start for KC, he’s the first player to hit that mark.

In the 80th minute, Graham Zusi passed Davy Arnaud and moved into 4th place for league minutes played for Sporting, Zusi finished the game with 19,410 minutes played.

Seth Sinovic made his 250th appearance across all competitions in his MLS career.

At 31 years, 361 days, Roger Espinoza is the 16th oldest player to score a goal in league play or in all competitions for KC, moving ahead of Diego Gutierrez and Lawrence Olum on both lists.

In the 84th minute, Espinoza moved ahead of Preki and into 7th place for league minutes played for Sporting, Espinoza finished the game with 17,825 minutes played.

In the 65th minute, Espinoza moved ahead of Preki and into 6th place for minutes played in all competitions, he finished the game with 20,662 minutes played.

Espinoza made his 254th appearance in all competitions, tying him with Preki for 6th all time on that list.

Espinoza started his 229th game in all competitions for KC, breaking his tie with Jimmy Conrad and tying him with Preki for 6th all time on that list.

Espinoza earned his 50th yellow card in league play.

Tim Melia made his 114th league start, tying him with Chance Myers for 19th all time on that list.

Daniel Salloi scored his 18th goal in all competitions, tying him with Matt McKeon and Diego Rubio for 17th all time on that list.

Salloi made his 50th league appearance for Sporting, he’s the 63rd player to hit that mark.

Salloi scored his 13th league goal, tying him with McKeon, Jose Buricaga, Sasha Victorine, Claudio Lopez, Jacob Peterson, and Gerso Fernandes for 20th all time on that list.

Salloi scored his 6th league goal away from home, tying him with Francisco Gomez, Aurelien Collin, and Krisztian Nemeth for 19th all time on that list.

Swope Park Rangers

Hadji Barry scored his 18th goal for Swope Park in all competitions, breaking his tie with Mark Anthony Gonzalez for second all time on that list.

Parker Maher made his 55th appearance in all competitions for Swope, tying him with Nansel Selbol and Tyler Pasher for 4th all time on that list.

Colton Storm started his 51st game in all competitions, breaking his tie with Pasher for 3rd all time on that list.

Kharlton Belmar made his 46th appearance in all competitions for Swope, tying him with Adrian Zendejas for 6th all time on that list.
