On Campus: Bromstedt’s Three Assists Lead Tulsa

An update on academy players in college.

The college soccer regular season is winding down as conference tournaments get set to start, and regular season conference titles are being decided. This past week Joey Piatczyc scored a goal in West Virginia’s 3-2 win over Bowling Green to lead the Mountaineers to the regular season MAC title. Elsewhere, Tulsa sophomore Chase Bromstedt recorded three assists for the Hurricanes in their 5-1 win over Oral Roberts. Here’s the rest of this week’s update on Sporting Kansas City academy players in college.

Class of 2014

Joey Piatczyc (West Virginia) - MF - RSr - Started and had a goal and an assist in West Virginia’s 2-1 win over Pitt. Started and had a goal in West Virginia’s 3-2 win over Bowling Green.

Class of 2015

Jack Freeman (Furman) - D - RJr - Started both Furman’s 2-1 loss to Mercer and 1-0 loss to UNC Greensboro.

Bryce Gibson (Creighton) - D - RJr - Did not play in Creighton’s 2-1 win over Marquette. Came on as a substitute in Creighton’s 2-1 win over DePaul.

Nic Jaimes (Drake) - MF - Sr - Started Drake’s 0-0 draw with Missouri State.

Ryan Krutz (Notre Dame) - GK - Sr - Did not play in either of Notre Dame’s games.

Zane Moxley (Air Force) - D - Sr - Started Air Force’s 5-2 win over UNLV. Did not play in Air Force’s 1-0 loss to Grand Canyon.

Hector Solorio (Niagara) - MF - Sr - Started both Niagara’s 3-0 loss to Quinnipiac and 1-0 loss to Iona.

Tucker Stephenson (Loyola) - F - Sr - Started and had an assist in Loyola’s 1-0 win over Northern Illinois. Startd Loyola’s 1-0 loss to Central Arkansas.

Bailey Weeks (Northeastern State University) - D - RJr - Started Northeastern’s 4-0 win over Oklahoma Baptist. Did not play in Northeastern’s 8-0 win over Southern Nazarene.

Class of 2016

Dakota Karns (Missouri State) - MF - RSo - Did not play in Missouri State’s 0-0 draw with Drake.

Ryan Kellogg (West Virginia) - D - Jr - Started West Virginia’s 2-1 win over Pitt. Did not play in West Virginia’s 3-2 win over Bowling Green.

John Leisman (Yale) - F - Jr - Started Yale’s 2-1 loss to Columbia.

Logan Lucas (West Virginia) - D - Jr - Started both West Virginia’s 2-1 win over Pitt and 3-2 win over Bowling Green.

Andrew McLeod (Northwestern) - D - Jr - Did not play in either of Northwestern’s games.

Absalom Solorio (Niagara) - MF - Jr - Came on as a substitute in both Niagara’s 3-0 loss to Quinnipiac and 1-0 loss to Iona.

Class of 2017

Christian Albelo (Marquette) - D - So - Did not play in either of Marquette’s games.

Chase Bromstedt (Tulsa) - MF - So - Started and had three assists in Tulsa’s 5-1 win over Oral Roberts. Started Tulsa’s 1-0 loss to Temple.

Joe Corner (Gonzaga) - MF - So - Did not play in either of Gonazaga’s games.

Leroy Enzugusi (Drake) - F - So - Came off the bench in Drake’s 0-0 draw with Missouri State.

Alex Kaddah (Denver) - MF - RFr - Did not play in either of Denver’s games.

Steven Tekesky (West Virginia) - GK - So - Started both West Virginia’s 2-1 win over Pitt and 3-2 win over Bowling Green.

Patrick Wilkinson (Saint Louis) - D/M - So - Started both Saint Louis’ 2-1 loss to Denver and 2-0 win over George Washington.

Grayson Barber (Clemson) - F - Fr - Came on as a substitute in both of Clemson’s games.

Alex Brown (Coastal Carolina) - GK - Fr - Did not play in either of Coastal Carolina’s games.

Colin Innes (Kentucky) - MF - Fr - Did not play in either of Kentucky’s games.

Connor Jordan-Hyde (Virginia Tech) - GK - Fr - Did not play in either of Virginia Tech’s games.

Roman Knox (North Carolina) - MF - Fr - Did not play in UNC’s 1-0 win over Duke.

Dawson Lee (Missouri State) - F - Fr - Did not play in Missouri State’s 0-0 draw with Drake.

Isaac McGinnis (Penn) - MF - Fr - Came on as a substitute in Penn’s 0-0 draw with Temple. Did not play in Penn’s 2-1 win over Brown.

Reagan Mugume-Rice (Cal Poly) - F - Fr - Came on as a substitute in Cal Poly’s 2-0 loss to UCSB.

Mason Visconti (Clemson) - F - Fr - Came on as a substitute in Clemson’s 3-2 win over Syracuse. Did not play in Clemson’s 3-0 win over NC State.
