Sporting Kansas City President Jake Reid hosted a brief Q&A session on Twitter for fans. Reid answered an array of questions on topics like team support outside the KC metro, tailgating, partnership changes and Pinnacle. Although Reid is not known to be as candid as Robb Heineman, he addressed the concerns fans had.
After a fan asked Reid for assurance Fox Sports will provide better service this season, Reid was quick to defend Fox's technical issues stating:
"Fox Sports is a great partner, unfortunately in technology things break sometimes. Shouldn’t be an issue moving forward...unless I’m at the final table then we’ll do a live look in!"
Unfortunately, I think we can expect more poker tournaments.
A few weeks ago, the club announced the Members Club will be renamed to the Budweiser Brew House due to Boulevard leaving along with other partnership changes within the stadium. Reid explained the partner change:
"Boulevard was an amazing partner, they’ve done more with the Royals the past few years and timing didn’t work out. Hope to work with them in the future. Bud has been a long term partner, and the space is going to be amazing when its done. Benefits will be great. Bud is all in!"
Reid didn't give any hints to possible signings or trades. However, he did answer a fan's question regarding what the club looks for in a free agent and players overseas.
"Whatever Brian Bliss and PV feel are the right fit...includes things like team first and competitive," Reid stated.
