Across State Lines: MLS Teams Back in Action

MLS teams are back in action in competitive games for the 2018 season, with Kansas City local, Kortne Ford and the Colorado Rapids kicking off the season against Toronto FC in the Scotiabank CONCACAF Champions League Tuesday night in Commerce City, Colorado. Unfortunately for Ford and Colorado, the Rapids fell 2-0 to Toronto in the home-home series. That leaves a hill for the Rapids to climb next week in Toronto for the return leg.

In other news, the recently waived Soony Saad has a new club. Saad has signed to play with Indy Eleven in their first season in the USL after joining from the NASL this offseason. Saad will join up with former Sporting Kansas City teammate, Tyler Pasher who also recently signed for the club.

Elsewhere, Toni Dovale scored the first hattrick in Asian competitions for Indian side, Bengaluru FC, who defeated TC Sports Club of the Maldives 5-0 to take the aggregate series 8-2 to advance to the group stage of the AFC Cup.
