Sporting Kansas City homegrown player Daniel Salloi has been called up to the Hungarian U21 team for the upcoming international break later this month. The Hungarian team is currently in qualification for the 2019 UEFA European Under-21 Championships in Italy and play games against Cyprus on March 22nd and Beligum on the 26th. They currently sit in a tie for second place with Sweden, but are third because of their weaker goal difference (+6 to +3).
Salloi will miss Kansas City’s game next weekend, March 24th in Colorado against the Colorado Rapids. His absence will certainly be felt for the club as Salloi has been one of the bright spots for the club in the early portion of this season, coming on in the opener and providing a boost to the offense before starting last week’s game in Chicago and recording two assists in Sporting’s 4-3 win over the Chicago Fire.
