Across State Lines: Nemeth on the Trade Block

A former Sporting Kansas City forward could potentially be on the move as reports are that Krisztian Nemeth is being shopped by his current club, the New England Revolution. The Revolution had acquired Nemeth near the end of the 2017 season by trading up in the MLS allocation order a combined $400,000 in allocation money to the Columbus Crew for the top spot to take Nemeth who they used TAM to sign. Nemeth had a goal and an assist in six appearances for the Revolution, one of those appearances was an 11 minute appearance against his former club at Children’s Mercy Park. That appearance was cut short after a red card for an elbow to Graham Zusi. This season, Nemeth was an unused substitute in New England’s 2-0 loss to the Philadelphia Union, where the Revolution finished with nine men on the field. Nemeth would certainly be a welcomed by a large portion of the fan base who feel he’d be the answer to the club’s forward problems.

In other news, former homegrown signing, Erik Palmer-Brown made his debut in Belgium for KV Kortrijk, starting int he club’s 2-1 loss to Club Brugge.
