The Swope Park Rangers played their second home game of the season, but their first at Children's Mercy Park. The Colorado Switchbacks came to town and it looked like it was going to be a shootout but instead ended 1-0. Gianluca Busio and Jaylin Lindsey made their professional debuts for SPR and both played well. Quick takes. Rodrigo Saravia gave the ball away a ton! He looks good going forward but he had a lot of questionable passes. Graham Smith continued to struggle at CB but his shortcomings didn't cost the team in the end. Emiliano Amor looked good as his CB partner outside of one poor giveaway. His distribution was good and he had a pass to Diego Rubio in the first minute that should have resulted in a goal. Hadji Barry is fast. Really fast. But he looked a little lost in the 18 yard box without Belmar to dish passes to. Tyler Blackwood had the game winning goal and looked impressive. Kharlton Belmar, the teams all-time leading scorer, got the day off and wasn't even in the 18. Maybe he has a SKC appearance in his future.
