Juice Boxes and Post Game Stats: Busio the Youngest Ranger

The Swope Park Rangers picked up their third win of the season on Wednesday at Children’s Mercy Park. In the process, Gianluca Busio, making his professional debut, became the youngest player to not just start a game, but play in a game for the Rangers. Busio’s record at 15 years, 311 days will be one that is hard to top in the future for any other academy player. Here are stats and milestones from that game.

At 15 years, 311 days, Gianluca Busio is the youngest player to play in or start a game for Swope.

At 26 years, 254 days, Tyler Blackwood became the second oldest goal scorer in SPR history.

In the 22nd minute, Adrian Zendejas moved ahead of Mark Anthony Gonzalez and into 5th place for league minutes played for Swope, he finished the game with 2,610 minutes played.

In the 81st minute, Zendejas moved ahead of Oumar Ballo and into 4th place for minutes played in all competitions, he finished the game with 3,300 minutes played.

Zendejas made his 29th league appearance for Swope, tying him with Lebo Moloto and Colton Storm for 10th all time on that list.

Zendejas made his 35th appearance in all competitions, breaking his tie with Kharlton Belmar for 7th all time on that list.

Zendejas started his 29th league game for Swope, breaking his tie with Storm for 6th all time on that list.

Zendejas started his 36th game in all competitions, moving him into a tie with Ballo for 4th all time on that list.
