The MLS Players Association released salaries for the league today, revealing that Felipe Gutierrez is indeed the highest paid player for Sporting Kansas City. With a guaranteed salary of $1,649,999.96, the Chilean International is the 13th highest paid player in the league. (Can we donate 4 pennies to make it an even $1.65 million?)
Veteran midfielder Roger Espinoza comes in as the second highest total of $900,000 for 2018.
Newcomer Johnny Russel weighs in with $699,999.96 and has looked like he is worth every penny so far. The Scottish winger has terrorized defenses and is regularly double-teamed by the opposition. (Again, 4 more cents!)
Fellow newcomer Yohan Croizet will make $680,004 for 2018, making him sixth overall on the team.
