Sporting Kansas City got a big win on the road yesterday in Atlanta winning 2-0 thanks to goals by Daniel Salloi and Gerso Fernandes, along with the goalkeeping heroics of Tim Melia. Sporting captain, Matt Besler continued to move closer to becoming the team’s all time leader in every appearance, start, and minutes played category yesterday, moving into second place on two more lists in the game yesterday.

Wilson Harris became the 3rd player on an academy contract to start a game for Swope.
At 18 years, 162 days, Harris became the 4th youngest player to start a game for Swope in league play and in all competitions.
