MLS: U.S. Open Cup-Sporting KC vs FC Dallas Jay Biggerstaff-USA TODAY Sports

While Sporting Kansas City advanced to the quarterfinals of the 2018 US Open Cup with a 3-2 win over FC Dallas, the Swope Park Rangers fell 4-1 to Fresno FC. Both games though had their milestones, with Ike Opara starting his 100th game for Kansas City across all competitions, while Sporting academy product, Wilson Harris became the second youngest goal scorer in the Rangers history. Here are the stats and milestones from this weekend.

Sporting Kansas City

Ike Opara started his 100th game for KC in all competitions, he’s the 33rd player to hit that mark.

In the 11th minute, Opara moved ahead of Paulo Nagamura and into 20th place for minutes played in the US Open Cup (proper and qualifiers). He

finished the game wtih 793 minutes played. He also moved ahead of Nagamura and Aurelien Collin and into 15th place for minutes played in the USOC proper, he finished the game with 793 minutes played.

Roger Espinoza made his 20th appearance in the US Open Cup (proper and qualifiers) tying him with Matt Besler for the most all time.

Espinoza made his 19th appearance in the Open Cup proper, breaking his tie with Besler for the most all time.

Espinoza started his 17th game in the Open Cup (proper and qualifiers) tying him with Kerry Zavagnin for 2nd all time on that list.

He started his 16th game in the Open Cup proper, tying him with Besler for the most all time on that list.

Daniel Salloi’s 2 goals gives him 5 for his career in the Open Cup, tying him with Krisztian Nemeth, Davy Arnaud, and Igor Simutenkov for 2nd all time in the US Open Cup proper. When adding in qualifiers he’s tied for 2nd with those three as well as CJ Sapong.

Graham Zusi started his 229th game in all competitions for KC, tying him with Preki for 5th all time on that list.

In the 47th minute, Zusi moved ahead of Nick Garcia and into 4th place for minutes played in the US Open Cup (proper and qualifiers). He finished the game with 1,357 minutes played.

In the 83rd minute, Zusi moved ahead of Garcia and into 4th place for minutes played in the USOC proper, he finished the game with 1,201 minutes played.

Zusi made his 16th appearance in the Open Cup (proper and qualifiers), tying him with Chance Myers for 4th all time on that list.

It was Zusi’s 12th start in the Open Cup proper, tying him with Garcia for 5th all time on that list.

Swope Park Rangers

At 18 years, 201 days, Wilson Harris is the second youngest goal scorer for the Rangers.

In the 26th minute, Parker Maher moved ahead of Mark Anthony Gonzalez and into 8th place for league minutes played for Swope, he finished the game with 2,606 minutes played.

Feilipe Hernandez and Parker Maher both made their 36th league appearance, tying them with Kharlton Belmar for 7th all time on that list.

The pair made their 40th appearance in all competitions for Swope, tying them with Belmar and Adrian Zendejas for 7th all time on that list.

Maher made his 32nd start in all competitions, breaking his tie with Ualefi for 8th all time on that list.

Hernandez made his 30th start in all competitions, breaking his tie with Lebo Moloto for 10th all time on that list.
