Sporting Kansas City picked up a big win over Minnesota United on the weekend while the club’s captain, Matt Besler reached another club milestone on his way to owning all the club’s records for longevity, this time tying Davy Arnaud for most league appearances. Here are the rest of this week’s stats.

Matt Besler made his 240th league appearance, tying him with Davy Arnaud for the most appearances all time.

At 18 years, 68 days, Jaylin Lindsey is the 2nd youngest player to play in a game for KC.

At 19 years, 262 days, Wan Kuzain Wan Kamal is the 2nd youngest goal scorer in league play for Kansas City.

Kuzain is the 3rd oldest goal scorer in all competitions for Kansas City.

Tim Melia made his 100th MLS start of his career.

The win was Melia’s 50th in all competitions for Kansas City. He’s the 2nd goalkeeper to hit 50 wins.

Roger Espionza’s assist was his 29th in league play for KC, breaking his tie with Mo Johnston for 6th all time on that list.

It was his 32nd in all competitiosn, also breaking a tie with Johnston for 6th all time on that list.

Espinoza made his 204th league appearance, tying him with Jimmy Conrad for 7th all time on that list.

Espinoza made his 184th league start for KC, breaking his tie with Chris Klein for 8th all time on that list.

Swope Park Rangers

At 17 years, 170 days, Sean Karani became the 6th youngest player to appear in a game for Swope in league play or in all competitions.

At 18 years, 189 days, Roman Knox became the 10th youngest player to appear in a game for Swope in league play or in all competitions.

In the 21st minute, Adrian Zendejas moved ahead of Oumar Ballo and into 4th place for league minutes played, he finished the game with 2,970 minutes played.

Zendejas made his 40th appearance in all competitions, tying him with Kharlton Belmar for 7th all time on that list.

In the 80th minute, Parker Maher moved ahead of Kevin Oliveira and into 10th place for league minutes played, he finished the game with 2,336 minutes played.

In the 5th minute Maher moved ahead of Mark Anthony Gonzalez and into 8th place for mintues played in all competitions, he finished the game with 2,756 minutes played.

In the 81st minute, Colton Storm moved ahead of Belmar and into 6th place for league minutes played, he finished the game with 2,817 minutes played. At the same time he also moved ahead of Belmar and into 6th place for minutes played in all competitions, he finished the game wtih 3,237 minutes played.

Storm started his 32nd league game, tying him with Ballo for 5th all time on that list.

Storm made his 36th start in all competitions, tying him with Ballo for 5th place on that list.

Maher, Storm, and Zendejas tied Felipe Hernandez for league appearances for Swope as all 3 made their 33rd league appearance for the club.

Maher and Storm made their 37th appearance in all competitions, tying them with Hernandez for 9th place on that list.
