Sporting Kansas City forward Daniel Salloi has earned another call from the Hungarian National Team. This is the second call to the Magyar senior team after several appearances for Hungary’sU-21 teams. The first time Salloi was called was not in a FIFA window and he was working on a green card, so he did not go.
Hungary will play at Finland on September 8th and will host Greece at home in Budapest on September 11th. These matches are part of 2018-19 UEFA Nations League C, the third division of the new UEFA Nations League. In addition to Finland and Greece, Estonia rounds out the four team Group 2.
Salloi, Sporting KC’s Homegrown International has steadily improved each year, breaking in to a consistent starter this year with seven goals and seven assists after notching three goals and two assists in 2017.
Sporting KC plays in Seattle on September 1st, at home against Orlando on September 8th and at San Jose on September 15th. Most likely the Salloi would leave after the Seattle match and miss the Orlando game and possibly the San Jose game as well.

Fellow Hungarian forward Krisztian Nemeth was called up in May and did not go but was not named to the roster this time. Perhaps he has not played enough lately or they want to let him settle with his new team.
