On Campus: The College Season Kicks Off

Another NCAA soccer season has begun and that means it’s time to provide updates on Sporting Kansas City academy players in college. This year there are 10 new incoming freshman at programs like Clemson, North Carolina, and Cal State Poly. Here is this week’s update.

Class of 2014

Joey Piatczyc (West Virginia) - MF - RSr - Had a goal and an assist in West Virginia’s 2-0 win over Charleston. Started West Virginia’s 1-0 loss to UNC Wilmington.

Class of 2015

Jack Freeman (Furman) - D - RJr - Was a substitute in both Furman’s 2-0 win over Ohio State and 1-0 loss to Dayton.

Bryce Gibson (Creighton) - D - RJr - Did not play in Creighton’s 2-0 win over Clemson. Was a substitute in Creighton’s 0-0 draw with UC Davis.

Nic Jaimes (Drake) - MF - Sr - Started Drake’s 1-0 loss to Oral Roberts.

Ryan Krutz (Notre Dame) - GK - Sr - Started Notre Dame’s 1-1 draw with Saint Louis.

Zane Moxley (Air Force) - D - Sr - Came on as a substitute in Air Force’s 2-1 loss to Virginia Tech. Started Air Force’s 1-0 win over James Madison.

Hector Solorio (Niagara) - MF - Sr - Started both Niagara’s 3-0 loss to Northeastern and 1-0 loss to UConn.

Tucker Stephenson (Loyola) - F - Sr - Started Loyola’s 2-0 loss to Western Michigan.

Bailey Weeks (Northeastern State University) - D - RJr - No game this week.

Class of 2016

Dakota Karns (Missouri State) - MF - RSo - Did not play in Missouri State’s 3-1 win over UMKC.

Ryan Kellogg (West Virginia) - D - Jr - Was a substitute in both West Virginia’s 2-0 win over Charleston and 1-0 loss to UNC Wilmington.

John Leisman (Yale) - F - Jr - No game this week.

Logan Lucas (West Virginia) - D - Jr - Started both West Virginia’s 2-0 win over Charleston and their 1-0 loss to UNC Wilmington.

Andrew McLeod (Northwestern) - D - Jr - Started both Northwestern’s 3-0 win over Cleveland State and their 0-0 draw with Xavier.

Absalom Solorio (Niagara) - MF - Jr - Started both Niagara’s 3-0 loss to Northeastern and 1-0 loss to UConn.

Class of 2017

Christian Albelo (Marquette) - D - So - Did not play in Marquette’s 3-1 win over Valparaiso.

Chase Bromstedt (Tulsa) - MF - So - Started and had an assist in Tulsa’s 2-1 win over Michigan. Started Tulsa’s 0-0 draw with Michigan State.

Joe Corner (Gonzaga) - MF - So - Came on as a substitute and scored a goal in Gonzaga’s 2-2 draw with Bradley.

Leroy Enzugusi (Drake) - F - So - Started Drake’s 1-0 loss to Oral Roberts.

Alex Kaddah (Denver) - MF - RFr - Came on as a substitute in Denver’s 4-0 win over Monmouth.

Steven Tekesky (West Virginia) - GK - So - Started both West Virginia’s 2-0 win over Charleston and 1-0 loss to UNC Wilmington.

Patrick Wilkinson (Saint Louis) - D/M - So - Started Saint Louis’ 2-2 draw with Notre Dame and their 2-1 loss to Memphis.

Class of 2018

Grayson Barber (Clemson) - F - Fr - Started both Clemson’s 2-0 loss to Creighton and their 1-0 win over Omaha.

Alex Brown (Coastal Carolina) - GK - Fr - Did not play in either of Coastal Carolina’s games.

Colin Innes (Kentucky) - MF - Fr - Did not play in Kentucky’s 1-0 win over DePaul.

Connor Jordan-Hyde (Virginia Tech) - GK - Fr - Did not play in either of Virginia Tech’s games.

Roman Knox (North Carolina) - MF - Fr - Did not play in either of UNC’s games.
