MLS: Minnesota United FC at Sporting KC Peter G. Aiken

Our football team has us happy drinking!

Sporting Kansas City is on a winning streak and we brought in some libations to help with the podcast. But alcohol wasn’t the only guest in the studio. Cody, Thad and Bob were joined by Cauldron personality Zachary Cobb.

The club’s first ever coach, Ron Newman, passed away this week and the crew reminisced on his impact and the early days of MLS.

If you’re high on SKC after four straight shut-outs, Thad is here to bring you down. Are they actually this good? Or is there another gear Sporting has yet to find?

The Diego Rubio train keeps rolling. It took the team signing a new striker to find there was one here all along! Krisztian Nemeth has a long way to go if he wants to wrangle the starting job from the Chilean.

And don’t forget.... Khiry Shelton is coming back soon.

Yohan Croizet got on the score-sheet after replacing Felipe Gutierrez at half time. Will the real #10 please stand up? This has to be the topic of the week. Felipe has not looked his best since returning while Yohan may finally be gaining steam.

Two wingers are leaving the team to be with their national teams. We discussed what the team will do without Johnny Russell & Daniel Salloi. Will Nemeth slide back to the wing?

Two winning streaks will collide this weekend. The Seattle Sounders on a seven game win streak, the longest in MLS history. We look at the odds, lineups and give predictions as well.

During ExtraTime we spoke about Jimmy Conrad’s recent comments on the US Men’s National Team & Michael Bradley.
