• The Portland Timbers bring back utter flop winger Lucas Melano. He’s been bad while out on loan too. My wife will be happy (she thinks he’s quite attractive). The Timbers are rumored to be making one more move. In addition left fullback Vytas (insert super-long last name) has been traded to D.C. United for just $50K in TAM. (MLS)
• The Vancouver Whitecaps will add center back Roberto Dominguez before the window closes. (MLS)
• The Columbus Crew got an offer from English Championship side for Will Trapp. It’s worth $1.25 million but the Crew are wanting $3 million to consider it. (The Athletic)
• I’m not sure we ever covered it here, but last week 2019 MLS Expansion club FC Cincinnati traded for Fanendo Adi and Fatai Alashi. At least Adi is going to play the rest of the USL season. That’s gotta help their USL Cup odds. (MLS)
• Cincy also added a former Serie A striker as well. (MLS)
• Joao Plata is apparently on the block at Real Salt Lake. If they trade him that seems dumb. Even in limited minutes he’s looked good. (MLS)
• FC Dallas add some defense by bringing in Moises Hernandez. (MLS)
• The Colorado Rapids sell an international slot for just $50K after paying $100K earlier in the year from Sporting. (MLS)
• Justin Meram returns to the Crew from Orlando City in what amounts to a $300K loan. (MLS)
• New England weren’t just sellers, adding CB Michael Mancienne this week. (MLS)
• LAFC added a CB too (this is the thing to do this week) bringing Danilo Silva back to Major League Soccer. (MLS)
• Full back Brad Smith comes on loan from England to the Seattle Sounders. (MLS)
