Thad may have his dad-jokes but it was a very busy week for Sporting Kansas City. We recorded the podcast right around the end of the transfer deadline and discussed all the action from around the league.

Krisztian Nemeth is in KC. The coveted #9 has arrived. Or has it? Cody, Aly and Thad cover all angles of the story, but we still aren’t sure. (Revolution 9 - The Beatles)

The other big signing was Andreu Fontas out of Spain. He’s seasoned, experienced. But how much help will he be this season? Peter Vermes is taking a risk with this one, but it could pay off nicely.

Plenty of time was set aside to bash the Houston Dynamo and, more specifically, Alberth Elis. Was this a quality three-points against a rival in a gritty match at their house? Or was it an underwhelming performance against a 10-man opponent?

This weekend’s opponent, Los Angeles Football Club, bolstered their already dangerous attacking core as the transfer window closed. There are so many different players to be worried about going forward, but their defense has been suspect so we are expecting a shootout. LAFC was wrapping up a 120-minute US Open Cup loss as we were recording and that could play a big role on Saturday.
