On Campus: Piatczyc Leads West Virginia

Red shirt senior, Joey Piatczyc is having himself a strong start to the season this year for West Virginia. The Lee’s Summit native recorded three assists for the Mountaineers in their 5-1 win over American to go with his goal and assist last week. A good start to the season as West Virginia moved to 2-1 on the season this past week. Here’s the rest of this week’s update on Sporting Kansas City academy players in college.

Class of 2014

Joey Piatczyc (West Virginia) - MF - RSr - Started and had 3 assists in West Virginia’s 5-1 win over American.

Class of 2015

Jack Freeman (Furman) - D - RJr - Came on as a substitute in Furman’s 2-0 loss to Charlotte.

Bryce Gibson (Creighton) - D - RJr - Came on as a substitute in Creighton’s 1-0 loss to Grand Canyon.

Nic Jaimes (Drake) - MF - Sr - Started Drake’s 3-1 win over UIC.

Ryan Krutz (Notre Dame) - GK - Sr - Started both Notre Dame’s 3-0 win over UConn and their 2-0 win over Dartmouth.

Zane Moxley (Air Force) - D - Sr - Started Air Force’s 2-0 win over Navy and their 2-0 win over UMBC.

Hector Solorio (Niagara) - MF - Sr - Started Niagara’s 1-0 loss to Yale.

Tucker Stephenson (Loyola) - F - Sr - Did not play in Loyola’s 1-0 win over Cleveland State. Started Loyola’s 6-1 loss to Oakland.

Bailey Weeks (Northeastern State University) - D - RJr - Started both Northeastern’s 3-1 win over Quincy and their 5-0 win over Drury.

Dakota Karns (Missouri State) - MF - RSo - Came on as a substitute in both Missouri State’s 1-1 draw with Cal State Fullerton and 2-0 win over Omaha.

Ryan Kellogg (West Virginia) - D - Jr - Started West Virginia’s 5-1 win over American.

John Leisman (Yale) - F - Jr - Came on as a substitute in Yale’s 1-0 win over Niagara.

Logan Lucas (West Virginia) - D - Jr - Started West Virginia’s 5-1 win over American.

Andrew McLeod (Northwestern) - D - Jr - Started Northwestern’s 1-0 win over Valparaiso.

Absalom Solorio (Niagara) - MF - Jr - Came on as a substitute in Niagara’s 1-0 loss to Yale.

Christian Albelo (Marquette) - D - So - Did not play in Marquette’s 4-0 win over Central Arkansas.

Chase Bromstedt (Tulsa) - MF - So - Started Tulsa’s 1-0 loss to UNLV. Started and scored a goal in Tulsa’s 3-2 win over North Florida.

Joe Corner (Gonzaga) - MF - So - Started both Gonzaga’s 0-0 draw with Cal Poly and 5-2 loss to Cal Baptist.

Leroy Enzugusi (Drake) - F - So - Started and score a goal in Drake’s 3-1 win over UIC.

Alex Kaddah (Denver) - MF - RFr - Did not play in Denver’s 3-2 OT win over Washington.
