Sporting Kansas City II The Swope Park Rangers looked to be off to a fine start on Saturday night going up 3-0 early with goals from Ze Pedro (kind of), Gianluca Busio and Ethan Vanacore-Decker. Instead, the team utterly collapsed allowing eight (!) unanswered goals to lose 8-3 to the defending USL Championship Cup winners, Louisville City FC. In what may be the clubs last game in Slugger Field before moving to their new home, LCFC went out on a high note.
The lineup featured five Sporting KC players in the starting lineup (Gianluca Busio, Tyler Freeman, Felipe Hernandez, Jaylin Lindsey and Graham Smith) and another on the bench (Kuzain).

The full highlights (lowlights?) are below.
SPR have just one game left in the year and it’s also on the road. The finale is on Wednesday against Indy Eleven at 6:00 PM CT on ESPN+.
As many of you know, these “articles” stand as more of a place to discuss the SPR games. It’s a small, but fierce following. I’ll admit I was on a plane back from Washington D.C. (where I saw the United States dismantle Cuba) and I saw the 8-3 score of this game and thought better of watching it for my own mental health.
Head to the comments and fill me (and probably a lot of others) in on what went wrong.
