Sporting Kansas City is officially out of the playoffs. With nothing of consequence left to play for, many fans wondered whether the team would be competitive in the final two games of the season.
It looked like SKC just might finish their 2019 home season with a win against the Portland Timbers, but a late red card from Ilie led to the equalizing PK. Sporting KC had yet another late game collapse.
In this week’s No Other Pod, we not only talk about what went wrong in the game against the Timbers, but where the team goes from now. Who’s contract expires at the end of 2019? Who should Sporting KC protect in the expansion draft?
We also talk about the re-brand of the Swope Park Rangers to Sporting Kansas City II, and hit other major news from around the league.
