On Campus: Lee Scores First Goal for Missouri State

An update on Sporting KC academy players in college.

There’s only one school left with a perfect record this season in NCAA Division 1 soccer, the Missouri State Bears. After being Valparaiso and Loyola Chicago this past week, the Bears are 15-0-0 on the season. Former Sporting Kansas City academy player, Dawson Lee has been a regular contributor the Bears this season having appeared in all 15 of Missouri State’s games this season. This past week the sophomore scored his first goal for Missouri State, what proved to be the winner in Missouri State’s 2-1 win over Loyola Chicago. Here’s the rest of this week’s update.

Class of 2015

Bryce Gibson (Creighton) - D - RSr - Started and had an assist in Creighton’s 2-1 win over Butler.

Class of 2016

Ryan Kellogg (West Virginia) - D - Sr - Started West Virginia’s 0-0 draw with SIU Edwardsville.

John Leisman (Yale) - F - Sr - Did not play in either of Yale’s games.

Logan Lucas (West Virginia) - D - Sr - Started West Virginia’s 0-0 draw with SIU Edwardsville.

Andrew McLeod (Northwestern) - D - Sr - Did not play in Northwestern’s 0-0 draw with Wisconsin. Started Northwestern’s 7-0 win over Marian.

Absalom Solorio (Niagara) - MF - Sr - Started Niagara’s 1-0 loss to Manhattan.

Class of 2017

Christian Albelo (Marquette) - D - RSo - Did not play in Marquette’s 2-1 loss to Seton Hall.

Chase Bromstedt (Tulsa) - MF - Jr - Started Tulsa’s 0-0 draw with Temple.

Joe Corner (Gonzaga) - MF - Jr - Started both Gonzaga’s 3-0 loss to Portland and 3-0 loss to Saint Mary’s.

Leroy Enzugusi (Drake) - F - Jr - No game this week.

Alex Kaddah (Denver) - MF - RSo - Came on as a substitute in both Denver’s 1-0 loss to Duke and their 2-1 loss to Rhode Island.

Steven Tekesky (West Virginia) - GK - Jr - Started West Virginia’s 0-0 draw with SIU Edwardsville.

Patrick Wilkinson (Saint Louis) - D/M - Jr - Started Saint Louis’ 2-0 loss to Fordham.

Class of 2018

Grayson Barber (Clemson) - F - So - Started and scored a goal in Clemson’s 3-0 win over NC State.

Alex Brown (Lipscomb) - GK - RFr - Did not play in Lipscomb’s 1-0 win over Liberty.

Colin Innes (Kentucky) - MF - RFr - Came on as a substitute recording a goal and an assist in Kentucky’s 7-1 win over Wright State. Started Kentucky’s 1-0 loss to Marshall.

Connor Jordan-Hyde (Virginia Tech) - GK - So - Did not play in either of Virginia Tech’s games.

Gabe Kash (Marquette) - D - RFr - Did not play in Marquette’s 2-1 loss to Seton Hall.

Roman Knox (North Carolina) - MF - RFr - Did not play in either of UNC’s games.

Dawson Lee (Missouri State) - F - So - Came on as a substitute in both Missouri State’s 3-2 win over Valparaiso and 2-1 win over Loyola Chicago, scoring a goal in the second game.

Isaac McGinnis (Penn) - MF - So - Started Penn’s 1-1 draw with Brown.

Reagan Mugume-Rice (Cal Poly) - F - So - Did not play in Cal Poly’s 2-0 loss to UCSB.

Mason Visconti (Kentucky) - F - So - Came on as a substitute in both Kentucky’s 7-1 win over Wright State and 1-0 loss to Marshall, scoring a goal in the first game.

Dontell Gilyard (UMKC) - D - Fr - Started both UMKC’s 2-1 loss to CSU Bakersfield and 1-0 win over Cal Baptist.

Johnny Hansen (Gonzaga) - D - Fr - Started both Gonzaga’s 3-0 loss to Portland and 3-0 loss to Saint Mary’s.
