Three Sporting KC Players Called Up for Youth USMNT

On Friday, US Soccer announced their rosters for the U-16 and U-17 teams for a series of friendlies to be held in Lakewood Ranch, Florida. The event will feature four teams, Turkey, the Netherlands and both youth United States teams in a round-robin style competition. The event is called the 2019 Nike International Friendlies.

The games will take place starting Thursday, November 14th and running through Monday, November 18th. Training will start on the 11th.

Representing Sporting Kansas City will be three players; ranging from the first team all the way down to the SKC Academy. First team winger Tyler Freeman will join the U-16 squad. Midfielders Jake Davis and Tucker Lepley will join the U-17 team.

All three players came through the Sporting KC Academy and featured for the Swope Park Rangers (now Sporting KC II) in 2019. While Freeman is on the main roster, he has yet to make an appearance in Major League Soccer (MLS). Below is the full schedule of games.
