Across State Lines: Alvarado and Olimpia Drawn Against Seattle in Champions League

CONCACAF held their draw on Monday for the 2020 edition of the CONCACAF Champions League, and former Sporting Kansas City defender, Ever Alvarado will be returning to the United States. Alvarado, who now plays for Olimpia in his native Honduras will head to Seattle as Olimpia was drawn against 2019 MLS Cup winners, the Seattle Sounders in their match up. Olimpia qualified for the 2020 tournament by finishing as a semifinalist in the 2019 CONCACAF League, the qualifying tournament set up to determine Champions League qualifiers from Central America, the Caribbean, and the Canadian Premier League. Alvarado is a regular starter for Olimpia and has regular been called up to the Honduran national team since his departure from Kansas City in 2016. Here’s the rest of this week’s update.
