The Kansas City Comets will look to rebound after two losses last weekend to the Orlando SeaWolves and a comeback that fell just short against the Baltimore Blast. The Comets start in Orlando on Saturday, March 16 for a meeting with the SeaWolves before heading to Lakeland for a meeting with the Florida Tropics on Sunday.
The Orlando SeaWolves aren’t far behind the Comets with a 7-9 record, sitting fourth in the tight South Central Division. Orlando has won just one of their last five matches and are led by Gordy Gurson with 24 goals and 15 assists from the former Rookie of the Year.
The Comets, with a 9-9 record and a very slim lead over the Ambush for a playoff spot, will look to correct what went wrong last Friday in the 6-4 loss. The Comets are led by Leo Gibson, who’s now scored 26 goals and assisted 24 goals this season after a four goal and two assist performance in Baltimore. The Comets will still remain without midfielder Lucas Rodriguez.
The Florida Tropics are still alive in the playoff race, although they are fifth in the South Central Division with a 5-13 record. The Tropics have found goals spread out throughout the team, including from former Comet Max Touloute with five goals and nine assists, Victor Parreiras has 12 goals and 10 assists, and Ricardo de Queiroz Diegues has combined with Guilherme Dos Santos for 32 goals combined.
The fist game in Orlando will kickoff on Saturday, March 16, at 6:05 PM CT. The St. Patrick’s Day game on Sunday, March 17, will kickoff against the Florida Tropics at 2:05 PM CT. Both games can be watched on TV at 38 the Spot or live streamed online at Masl.tv.
