Sporting Kansas City is off this weekend, however, there are several SKC stars abroad with their international squads.

Johnny Russell came on for his 10th cap with Scotland in the 61st minute with Scotland down 3-0 in Kazakhstan, who’s FIFA Ranking is 117, for match one of the UEFA Euro Qualifiers from Group I. He was unable to spark Scotland to a miraculous comeback as the match ended 3-0. Russell will return to Sporting after Scotland plays San Marino on Sunday.

Of the three Hungarians currently with Sporting, Botond Barath and Krisztian Nemeth were both named to the Hungarian squad, although neither were picked in the matchday squad for their UEFA Euro Qualifier 2-0 loss against Slovakia in Group E. Barath and Nemeth will return to Kansas City after Hungary’s second qualifier against Croatia on Sunday.

If you want some breaks from March Madness, you can tune into the United States Men’s National Team against former SKC forward Diego Rubio and Chile Tuesday at 6:55 PM on ESPN2. It will be Gregg Berhalter’s fourth match in charge of the USMNT as they prepare for this summer’s Gold Cup.

Sporting KC defender Abdul Rwatubyaye is also away with Rwanda, who have their final Africa Cup of Nations Qualifier against Ivory Coast on Saturday and can be seen on beIN SPORTS at noon on Saturday.

Jaylin Lindsey is with Tab Ramos and the United States U-20 National Team as they prepare for the FIFA U-20 World Cup with two friendlies against France and Japan on Monday. The U-20’s rallied with two goals to draw 2-2 with France this morning. Lindsey and the boys will face Japan on Monday at 6:00 AM.
