There can never be too many podcasts, right?

You all are well aware of Shades of Blue (and if you aren’t... why not?). But to quote our site manager Thad Bell, “the world is big enough for more than one pod.”

Introducing No Other Pod! I co-host this weekly Sporting Kansas City podcast with my good buddy Dan Kooser. Together we started No Other Pod back in September 2017, just after the big U.S. Open Cup win against the New York Red Bulls at Children’s Mercy Park.

As two passionate Sporting KC fans who talked about SKC all the time anyways, we decided why not record our conversations and see if anyone wanted to listen? Nearly a year and a half later, we’ve grown the pod and have hundreds of faithful listeners. If you aren’t one already, you should be.

No Other Pod isn’t your typical analytical podcast. Yes, we do have some analytics talk, break down tactics, and all the regular post-game review stuff. But we love to interject humor throughout and have more of an “off-the-cuff” style. Maybe you’ll love us. Maybe you’ll need some time to get used to us. But you should definitely listen. Like, now. Go listen.

We drop new episodes each and every Wednesday throughout the year. This week, even though Sporting KC was on a bye during the international “break,” we talked U.S. Men’s National Team, Gedion Zelalem’s debut with Swope Park, and looked ahead to this weekend’s Montreal Impact game. We also answered fan questions, as always!

So if you need a new podcast, or you just can’t get enough SKC, give No Other Pod a try. All the cool kids are doing it.

No Other Pod is available on iTunes, Google Play, Stitcher, and Spotify.
