The Kansas City Comets will have the chance to clinch a playoff spot this Friday in Orlando.

Kevin Ellis has escaped a suspension, although he has received a fine of an undisclosed amount, along with Stefan Stokic, for violent conduct/serious foul play in the altercation with the Ambush last week. The Comets will be without Adam James and Alain Matingou, who both miss through injury. The SeaWolves will be without Victor France, who misses through injury, and Richard Schmermund, who will serve a one game suspension for point accumulation.

The 11-10 Comets will look to clinch a playoff spot on Friday, with Leo Gibson leading the way with 32 goals and 28 assists,a total of 60 points, which is three points behind league leader Nick Perera of the Tacoma Stars.

As Orlando fights for their playoff lives, they are led by Gordy Gurson, who has racked up 29 goals and 20 assists.

The Comets have won two of their last three meetings with the SeaWolves, outscoring them 24-15.

With the Comets one win away from making a return to the playoffs, Kim Roentved will really want to clinch postseason play this weekend to ease the pressure with the next two games against the 6-15 Florida Tropics and the 18-3 Milwaukee Wave.

The potential playoff-clinching game can be seen live on 38 the Spot or Masl.tv at 6:35 PM CT on Friday, March 29.
