Well, that didn’t go quite how we’d hoped.
In this week’s No Other Pod, we talk about the game we all want to forget. Yes, I’m talking about that terrible 5-0 loss in Monterrey in the Concacaf Champions League semifinals. We talk all about what went wrong, what it means for Sporting Kansas City, and if there is any hope on Thursday for a comeback. (Hint: if history means anything, there’s not much of a chance.)
But, all is not lost! Sporting KC made it farther than they ever have before in the CCL, and they also have nearly THE ENTIRE MLS SEASON left in front of them. There’s a game Sunday night against the New York Red Bulls in MLS play, and it’s time SKC get back on track and take their rightful place atop the West in MLS. We talk about what to expect in the RBNY game Sunday, and as always, we answer your questions! This week’s featured questions include: If you could sign anyone for SKC, who would it be, and why can’t soccer broadcasts figure out how to do in-game replays?!
