No Other Pod - Is the sky falling?

Jimmy and Dan talk about the question on the minds of all Sporting KC fans... is this the beginning of the end?

MLS: Sporting Kansas City at San Jose Earthquakes Kelley L Cox-USA TODAY Sports

This wasn’t supposed to happen.

For most of the first part of the Major League Soccer season, just about everyone looked at Sporting Kansas City and thought they were one of the better teams in the league. After easily taking down Toluca in the Concacaf Champions League and progressing farther than any other MLS team in the competition all while holding their own in MLS league play despite the packed schedule, things looked to be going great for SKC.

Then Monterrey happened. And now San Jose happened.

Should Sporting KC fans be worried? Will SKC turn out to be this year’s version of 2018 Toronto FC? Is the sky falling around us as we speak? We talk about all our worries on this week’s No Other Pod, including what the sudden burst of injuries means for the team as they enter a crucial home stand in May.

We also talk about possible expanded salary caps and the big MLS expansion news, asking the question how many teams are too many teams?
