Melia’s 150th appearance tied him with Chris Brown for 20th all time on that list.

Melia made his 127th start in league play, breaking his tie with Matt McKeon for 17th all time on that list.

In the 23rd minute, Melia moved ahead of Tony Meola and into 18th place for league minutes played for Sporting, Melia finished the game with 11,399 minutes played.

At 33 years, 14 days, Melia tied Roy Lassiter as the 20th oldest player to start a league game for Kansas City.

Benny Feilhaber made his 184th appearance in all competitions, breaking his tie with McKeon for 12th all time on that list.
