After Saturday’s game against Real Salt Lake the Major League Soccer season will officially be half over for Sporting Kansas City. Heading into Saturday’s game Sporting KC sit in ninth place in the Western Conference and just a single point below the red line that determines who is in and who is out of the playoffs.
Despite it being that close, the season has been pretty disappointing up to this point. SKC are just 4-5-7 with 19 points through 16 games. The wins though, with the exception of last Sunday’s game against the Columbus Crew SC, are all against playoff teams (Seattle Sounders, Philadelphia Union and Montreal Impact).
With the season (nearly) half over, we at The Blue Testament wanted to know your thoughts on our mid-season awards in the series of polls below. We’ll then take your vote and compare them to our votes in a story in the coming days to see how the fan vote lines up with the TBT staff vote.
Remember that when you vote, it’s based on just 2019. You don’t have to limit yourself to just MLS play but you can lump Sporting’s successful 2019 CONCACAF Champions League campaign as well as their one-and-done effort in the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup.
Be sure to vote in the polls and chime in down in the comments (polls may not be viewable through Google AMP or Apple News).
