A pair of disappointing results for both Sporting Kansas City and the Swope Park Rangers. Sporting saw their already slim playoff chances take a big hit as they lost 2-1 at home to Real Salt Lake. Swope Park meanwhile fell on the road to the Pittsburgh Riverhounds. Here are the stats and milestones from the games.

Sporting Kansas City

Graham Zusi made his 229th league start, breaking his tie with Kerry Zavagnin for 2nd all time on that list.

Seth Sinovic made his 199th league start, tying him with Preki for 8th all time on that list.

Johnny Russell scored his 18th league goal for KC, tying him with Krisztian Nemeth for 15th all time on that list.

The goal was Russell’s 20th in all competitions for KC, tying him with Igor Simutenkov and Diego Rubio for 19th all time on that list.

Russell’s goal was his 13th in league play at home, tying him with Mark Chung for 13th all time on that list.

It was his 13th at home in all competitions as well, tying him with Chung, Rubio, Chris Brown, and Claudio Bieler for 18th.

Russell and Felipe Gutierrez both made their 50th start in all competitions for KC, they’re the 63rd and 64th players to reach that mark.

The loss was Tim Melia’s 50th in all competitions with Kansas City.

Kyle Beckerman made his 34th league appearance against KC, tying him with Chad Marshall for the 3rd most all time.

Nick Rimando finished the game having played 2,994 minutes against KC in league play, seeing him pass Marshall and Matt Reis to move into 3rd all time on that list.

Rimando finished the game with 3,699 minutes played against KC in all competitions, moving ahead of Robin Fraser and into 2nd all time on that list.

Rimando recorded his 17th win in all competitions against KC, the most by any opposing keeper against KC.

Swope Park Rangers

Felipe Hernandez made his 74th league appearance, tying him with Amer Didic for the most all time for Swope.

Hernandez recorded his 10th assist for Swope in league play, breaking his tie with Kevin Oliveira for the most all time for the club.

Hernandez’s assist was his 10th in all competitions for Swope as well, breaking his tie with Oliveira and Kharlton Belmar for the most all time on that list as well.

At 22 years, 196 days, Gedion Zelalem became the 18th youngest goal scorer in league play and in all competitions for Swope.

At 22 years, 210 days Ze Pedro became the 19th youngest goal scorer in league play and all competitions for Swope.

In the 90th minute, Wan Kuzain tied Tyler Pasher for league minutes played for Swope, Kuzain finished the game wtih 3,632 minutes played.

Kuzain made his 46th league appearance, tying him with Adrian Zendejas and Mark Anthony Gonzalez for 9th all time on that list.

Kuzain made his 41st league start for Swope, tying him with Belmar for 7th all time on that list.

Kuzain made his 43rd start in all competitions, breaking his tie with Parker Maher for 8th all time on that list.

Wilson Harris made his 28th league appearance, tying him with Kris Tyrpak for 19th all time on that list.
