The long rumor Israeli midfielder Gadi Kinda appears to have landed in Kansas City.

For a little over a week, we at The Blue Testament have been following the rumors of a very expensive midfielder coming to Sporting Kansas City. A drive by the stadium today appears to have revealed a board saying “Welcome Gadi Kinda.”

It’s standard for players to be photographed inside the stadium in front of their welcome sign holding up their jerseys. It’s likely an official announcement is coming very soon.

This lines up with stories we’ve seen online in the last few days that Kinda was on a plane headed to Kansas City. Below is the Tweet from Jon Mares that seems to confirm Gadi’s arrival.

I reached out to Jon on Twitter to get permission to use his photo and I just had to know how he stumbled upon that discovery. He said he “was leaving work and I saw it on the big board. So I pulled back in the lot to take a picture.”

That’s a keen eye Jon. We all appreciate you.

Kinda plays for Beitar Jerusalem F.C. in the Israeli first division. He joined the team last season after a €1 million transfer fee brought him from F.C. Ashdod. The rumor is that Sporting KC will drop a $3.7 million transfer fee which will be split evenly between Beitar Jerusalem F.C. and F.C. Ashdod.
