Christian Duke was one of the first players for the Swope Park Rangers, now Sporting Kansas City II. He was their captain and regular presence in the midfield before leaving to play for Orange County SC for a couple seasons.

In 2020 he was brought back to be the veteran leadership the ever-younger leaning second team for Sporting Kansas City. Duke now has the opportunity to play with his younger brother Cameron Duke, a Homegrown signing for SKC and build to his future with some coaching experience.

We caught Duke while he was in route to play Indy Eleven in the first match back for SKC II. Christian was kind enough to do the interview from the bus at a pit stop for the team so sometimes the audio is not the best.

Duke discusses getting back to playing after the pandemic layoff, playing with his brother, his coaching and going up against former teammate Tyler Pasher.
