Across State Lines: Vienna Want Palmer-Brown Back in Austria

The 2019-2020 European season has barely ended for some teams and the 2020-2021 season is already about to begin. That means for many players it is a quick transition from one team to another as they move on either via their contracts expiring or via loan. Former Sporting Kansas City Homegrown Player, Erik Palmer-Brown had a success season in Austria and could be heading back their for the new season as Austria Vienna is apparently interested in bringing back the young American on loan for the new season.

Just over the border in Switzerland, it was a rough week for Nicolas Hasler and his new team, Thun, as they fell in the relegation playoff on aggregate 5-4 to FC Vaduz from Hasler’s native Lichtenstein. Thun had crawled out of the automatic relegation spot since Hasler arrived at the club at the beginning of the year, but could not secure their safety in the playoff and will play the 2020-2021 season in the Swiss second division.
