Sporting Kansas City’s night against the Houston Dynamo didn’t go well, falling 5-2 in their first game at Children’s Mercy Park since March, but there was a big milestone in club history hit. Here are the stats and milestones from the game.

In the 53rd minute, Matt Besler reached 30,000 minutes played for Sporting KC in all competitions, he’s the first player to reach that mark for the club. He finished the game with 30,037 minutes played.

For the first time in club history, five Homegrown Players (Gianluca Busio, Cameron Duke, Felipe Hernandez, Jaylin Lindsey, and Daniel Salloi) were on the field at the same time.

Roger Espinoza made his 260th appearance in MLS competitions, tying him with Kerry Zavagnin for 3rd all time on that list.

Espinoza made his 224th league start for KC, tying him with Nick Garcia for 4th all time on that list.

Gerso Fernandes made his 100th appearance for KC in MLS competitions, he’s the 39th player to reach that mark.

Johnny Russell scored his 21st league goal for KC, breaking his tie with Mark Chung and CJ Sapong for 12th all time on that list.

Russell’s goal was his 21st in MLS competitions, tying him with Chung and Teal Bunbury for 13th all time on that list.

Russell scored his 23rd goal in all competitions, tying him with Daniel Salloi for 16th all time on that list.

Russell scored his 15th league goal at home for KC, tying him with Digital Takawira for 11th all time on that list.

Russell scored his 15th goal in all competitions at home, tying him with Igor Simutenkov and Gerso Fernandes for 15th all time on that list.

Tim Melia suffered his 57th loss in all competitions for KC, breaking his tie with Tony Meola for first all time on that list.
