Across State Lines: Kamara and Zendejas Traded to Minnesota

Minnesota United is quickly becoming the land for former Sporting Kansas City players. This past week, United acquired two former Sporting players, Kei Kamara and Adrian Zendejas, joining James Musa and Ike Opara to bring the total up to four former Sporting players currently on the roster.

Zendejas was acquired from Nashville SC in exchange for a fourth round draft pick and $100,000 in GAM. Zendejas had not played for Nashville after being acquired in a trade with Sporting after the expansion draft.

Kamara ties an MLS record as he joined his eighth club in the league joining Dominic Oduro and Nathan Sturgis as the players who have played with the most clubs in the league. Minnesota acquired Kamara from the Colorado Rapids for a second round draft pick in 2022 and $150,000 in GAM next year.
