KC NWSL signs Australian midfielder Chloe Logarzo

The 26-year-old will transfer from Bristol City Women, the FA WSL side.

KC NWSL continues to build their roster with the addition today of Chloe Logarzo, a 26-year-old veteran of the Australian National Team (nicknamed the Westfield Matildas). Logarzo will transfer from Bristol City Women, the FA WSL side in England. She has signed an agreement through the 2023 NWSL season. Per team and league policies, terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Per the press release, head coach Huw Williams commented that “[Logarzo] is very creative, dynamic and highly competitive. She is a player who makes an immediate impact on our team both on and off the field.”

Logarzo began her professional career as an 18-year-old playing for Sydney FC of the W-League, making 40 appearances for her hometown club. In 2014, she played for the USL W-League Colorado Pride, scoring eight goals, contributing seven assists and earning the USL W-League Rookie of the Year award.

Logarzo has also played with the Newcastle Jets (Australia), Eskilstuna United (Sweden) and Avaldsnes (Norway) before returning to Sydney FC in 2017. From 2017-2020, Logarzo appeared 34 times for Sydney and scored eight goals. She was loaned to the NWSL’s Washington Spirit in 2019 before signing her contract to play with Bristol City Women.

Internationally, Logarzo has 48 caps with Australia, making her debut with the senior team at the age of 18 in 2013. Logarzo appeared in the 2016 Rio Olympics and the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
