Match Details

KC NWSL (3-12-6 )
@ Chicago Red Stars (9-8-5)

When: Saturday, October 16 | 7:00 PM CT

Where: SeatGeek Stadium | Bridgeview, IL

TV: KCTV5, Paramount+

Local Watch Party: No Other Pub at Power & Light District

KC NWSL heads to the Windy City area to take on the Chicago Red Stars, wrapping up their final away game of the season. For KC, games on the road have not come with much success. The team is 0-8-3 on the road, and the last time they visited Bridgeview on August 28, KC lost 0-3. So far, KC is 0-1-1 against the Red Stars.

Chicago, playing their final home at SeatGeek, hold an impressive record when playing at home. They’re 7-2-2 at Bridgeview, and should they win against KC, it will be a club record for most home wins in a single season.

But KC may have found its form

In the last week, with the past two games, KC NWSL appears to have found its form late into the season. KC held the Portland Thorns to a scoreless draw last Sunday and won decisively against the Houston Dash with 3-0 victory, the team’s largest margin of victory in 2021, extending their home unbeaten streak to six games.

But again, KC tends to struggle on the road. If we see the same Kansas City team from Wednesday evening, the one that was relentless in the attack, they will give Chicago trouble. If we see the KC team that loses steam halfway through a game, this is a Red Stars’ game.
