The Kansas City Comets got goals from six different players to take game one of their playoff series against the St. Louis Ambush last night at Cable Dahmer Arena. The 7-4 win sees the Comets head to St. Louis on Sunday needing a win in either game two or the mini game to advance to the semifinals. Here are the stats and milestones from Friday night’s game.

This was the Comets 29th playoff game in their history, the first they’ve played against a team other than the Milwaukee Wave (19 games) and Baltimore Blast (9 games).

John Sosa made his 206th appearance in all competitions, tying him with Lucas Rodriguez for 2nd all time on that list.

Sosa made his 25th playoff appearance, tying him with Lucas Rodriguez and Brian Harris for 3rd all time on that list.

Leo Gibson made his 26th playoff appearance for the Comets, tying him with Vahid Assadpour for the most all time.

Ramone Palmer made his 19th playoff appearance for KC, tying him with Danny Waltman for 9th all time on that list.

Rian Marques two goals were his first two in the playoffs for the Comets, tying him with Mads Falck, Jeff Hughes, Milan Ivanovic, Bato Radoncic, and Tiguinho for 16th all time on that list.

Dominic Francis’ two assists were his first two in the playoffs, tying him with Hughes, Kiel Williams, Stephen Paterson, Alain Matingou, Danny Waltman, Cristiano, and Jamar Beasley for 12th all time on that list.

Ignacio Flores’ goal gave him 4 goals/assists for the Comets in the playoffs, tying him with Hughes, Josh Gardner, Stefan St. Louis, and Geison for 13th all time on that list.

Flores made his 6th playoff appearance for the Comets, tying him with Andre Braithwaite for 20th all time on that list.
