Across State Lines: Alvarado and Olimpia in Honduran League Finals

The Honduran league’s 2021 Clausura season comes to a conclusion this coming week and former Sporting Kansas City player Ever Alvarado and his current team, Olimpia are looking to make it a sweep. After winning the Apertura title in January, Olimpia is now in the finals of the Clausura. Unfortunately for Olimpia they suffered a 2-1 loss to Motagua in the first leg of the final’s series. The also lost three players to red cards in that game, meaning all three will be unavailable for the second leg, which is taking place tonight.
