Across State Lines: Fernandes Scores First Goal in Korea

Former Sporting Kansas City winger, Gerso Fernandes is has opened his account with his new club in South Korea. Playing for Jeju United in Korea’s K-League, Fernandes scored his team’s first goal in their 2-2 draw with Seongnam last week. Fernandes made a move around a defender and fired a shot from about 20 yards out that sailed into the top corner for the goal.

In other news this week, former Sporting KC goalkeeper Adrian Zendejas joined USL side, El Paso Locomotive on loan. Zendejas has found himself third in goalkeeping pecking order behind Tyler Miller and Dayne St. Clair with Minnesota United so has joined El Paso on loan, who have currently lost their starting goalkeeper Logan Ketterer on loan to the Portland Timbers after they lost Jeff Attinella for the season due to injury.
