Sporting Kansas City’s teams this past week both picked up draws. On Wednesday Sporting KC II played to a 2-2 draw with fellow “2” team, Atlanta United 2. Then on Saturday, the first team played to a 1-1 draw with Austin FC. Numerous milestones were reached for Sporting, here are stats and milestones from the games.
Sporting KC
Graham Zusi made his 349th appearance in all competitions for KC, breaking his tie with Matt Besler for 1st all time on that list.
Peter Vermes coached his 450th game for KC in all competitions.
Roger Espinoza made his 252nd start in MLS competitions, breaking his tie with Kerry Zavagnin for 3rd all time on that list.
Daniel Salloi scored his 19th league goal for KC, tying him with Teal Bunbury, Felipe Gutierrez, and Krisztian Nemeth for 15th all time on that list.
It was Salloi’s 22nd in MLS competitions, tying him with CJ Sapong for 13th all time on that list.
The goal was Salloi’s 27th in all competitions, tying him with Sapong and Johnny Russell for 13th all time on that list.
Salloi scored his 11th league goal at home for KC, tying him with Sapong Igor Simutenkov, and Chris Brown for 17th all time on that list.
