Juice Boxes and Post Game Stats: Duke Makes 100th Appearance

Midweek action for both Sporting Kansas City and Sporting KC II as the first team played in the Leagues Cup and the USL side traveled to Birmingham. Unfortunately both teams suffered losses in their games. Here are the stats and milestones from the action.

Sporting KC

At 17 years, 150 days, Ozzie Cisneros became the 3rd youngest player to appear in or start a game for Sporting in all competitions.

At 18 years, 175 days, Kayden Pierre became the 6th youngest player to appear in a game in all competitions for Sporting.

The loss was Peter Vermes’ 150th in all competitions as KC head coach.

Ilie Sanchez made his 144th start in all competitions, tying him with Josh Wolff for 17th all time on that list.

Sanchez finished the game with 630 international minutes played for KC, tying him with Ike Opara for 15th all time on that list.

Sanchez made his 7th international start for KC, tying him with Opara and Francisco Gomez for 16th all time on that list.

Sporting KC II

Christian Duke made his 100th appearance in all competitions for SKCII, he’s the first player to reach that mark.

Jake Davis recorded his 6th assist in league play, tying him with Alexsander for 8th all time on that list.

It was Davis’ 6th assist in all competitions as well, tying him with Alexsander for 9th all time on that list.

Davis made his 36th league appearance, breaking his tie with Tyler Freeman for 17th all time on that list.

Davis made his 36th appearance in all competitions, breaking his tie with Freeman and Hadji Barry for 17th all time on that list.

Davis made his 27th league start, breaking his tie with Freeman and Mark Anthony Gonzalez for 20th all time on that list.

In the 74th minute, Danny Barbir passed Ualefi and moved into 19th place all time for minutes played in all competitions, Barbir finished the game with 2,618 minutes played.

Petar Cuic made his 33rd league appearance, tying him with Barry for 20th all time on that list.
